How To Make Your Eyes Look BIGGER

Shop the eyeshadows from this reel:

Shades: Lullaby, Filly, and Drift

Everything else I used:

Fan Brush for mascara on bottom lashes: Seint Lash Brush

Ivory Liner: NYX Liner in White Smoke

Undereye Shadow Brush: BK Beauty 204 Brush (Code: AMYMARTIN10 for 10% off)

Liquid Eyeliner (Top Lid Only): Celesty Precision Eyeliner in Intense Black

Mascara: OFIR Waterproof Mascara in Licorice

Powder Bronzer: OFIR Sundial Bronzer + Highlighter Duo in Fair

Step by Step:

With the fluffy end of the Eyeshadow Brush, tap into both Lullaby and Filly and apply this combo all the way from lid to crease.

*I mixed both of these shades together for my top eyeshadow AND undereye shadow.

TIP: The key to making eyes look bigger is aiming for a ROUND shape.

To keep it round, sweep your brush back and forth as if you are creating a half moon shape in the crease.

*For a lifted eye look, you would sweep shadow up towards the temple. But instead, we are keeping this one really round to give the illusion of bigger, more open eyes.

Keep building color until it’s as intense as you like it. You can keep it soft or wear it bold.

With your fingers, apply Drift (vanilla shimmer shade) only in the center of lid/crease.

*You’ll see me apply my shimmers differently in other eyeshadow looks, but for a rounded look, I like to keep the shimmer in the center of the eye only.

TIP TO MAKE YOUR SHIMMERS POP: First tap on a tiny dot of a creamy concealer (I like Versailles), then press your shimmer on top – it will intensify your shimmer! Shimmers catch the light when you blink. :)

Blend the edges of the shimmer into your eyeshadow and soften as much as you like.

TIP FOR EYES WITH SMALL LID SPACE: Overlap a bit of your shimmer shadow onto the fold of the crease. This will give the illusion that you have more lid space than you actually do.

Skip the winged liner and keep the liner thin and close to your lashline, stopping at the corner of the eye. I LOVE a good winged liner, but it works against a rounded eye shape. ;)

With the BK Beauty 204 Brush, sculpt under the eye with shadow (I used a mix of Lullaby and Filly).

Tucking your shadow in that little hollow under the eye (as if you’re following the shape of your eye socket) will make your overall eye area look SO much bigger. The right brush will make this easy to do. I love the BK Beauty Brush.

TIP TO AVOID LOOKING HARSH: If you’re using a deep shadow, to make it look less harsh… when you’re done applying your shadow under the eye, blend the edges with your powder bronzer — the added warmth will make it look a bit softer and more like a natural shadow!

TO OPEN UP THE EYE EVEN MORE: Add an ivory eyeliner at the bottom lash line. 💕 Ivory looks less harsh than white. I love NYX White Smoke!

Add mascara on top and bottom lashes. Longer lashes adds length to the entire eye shape, so use your favorite lengthening mascara for this!

TIP FOR LONGER BOTTOM LASHES: If your bottom lashes are short like mine, try applying your mascara with a fan brush… you can be really precise with a fan brush and get every last bit of length that you can.

TIP FOR LIFTED LASHES: Warm your lash curler for a few seconds with a blow dryer to really set a curl in your lashes and keep them lifted.

Makeup should always be fun!
